Between 2020, 2021 and 2022, this collection of documentary landscape and street photography was created as part of the grand Leicestershire Photographed project, where I was seeking beauty within the landscape and to shine a light on the essence of the wonderful Roman founded county of Leicestershire.
All photogtaphs are available to purchase as digital stock images and as prints, canvases and other wall art.
About this puzzle:
The Plough Inn and Smitharards has a nice little backstory behind its creation. One day during December in 2020, I was delivering The Mews jigsaw puzzles around Ashby De La Zouch and always have my camera with me. While delivering, I came across this gorgeous little scene and felt compelled to make a good photograph to turn into a puzzle. So I parked up and jumped out with my camera and stood on the corner of the street lining up my eyes, heart and mind when a voice from behind asked ‘What are you doing mate’? I refrained from jumping to an answer because I didn’t know who it was.. The man realised I wasn’t going to answer his question and told me that he was the owner of the pub.
From that moment on, I said ‘Come with me’. I led him to my car and pulled out The Mews jigsaw puzzle and said this is what I’m doing, making another one of these but with your pub in. He was over the moon at coming across me and now these are available to order online.
Puzzle Difficulty Rating: 5
Jigsaw puzzle difficulty ratings range from 1-10 with 10 being the most difficult.
The puzzle rating is based on how easy the jigsaw is to piece together. Some photographs are harder than others to complete, so when choosing a puzzle as a gift, please consider the puzzlers experience and ability.
Puzzle Quality:
Our jigsaws are printed on 120gsm silk paper. The print has a subtle lustre seen on the most popular brands. It is then bonded to a 1.5mm luxury puzzle board and cut using traditional die cutting techniques.
Our finished 1000 piece jigsaw measures 69cm x 48cm and is supplied in a 33cm x 20cm box with the image featuring in full on the lid.
The entire product is ethically and wholly British made by Great British Jigsaws and from completely recyclable materials in production and packaging.

About this puzzle:
Cliftonthorpe is a beautiful part of Ashby De La Zouch that sits on top of a hill and features an impressive Victorian mansion beyond a small pond with some wildlife in the scene.
Ashby De La Zouch has become a favourite place for me to discover jigsaw puzzles and now becomes my third puzzle creation.
