Paul Hands is a British documentary photographer with fourteen years of real wedding experience. He moves through your day quietly and instinctively, reading the room, anticipating what's coming, and preserving the honest, unguarded moments that define who you actually are as a couple.

Elena Pavlova is a Ukrainian portrait photographer with a distinctive editorial eye. Her portraits are composed, elegant and deeply personal — a completely different discipline to documentary photography, and one that produces a completely different kind of image. Where Paul sees the moment as it happens, Elena creates the image with intention.

This gives you and Elena time to connect before the day itself, and gives us both the chance to learn the light, the spaces and the best of what your venue has to offer — so nothing is left to chance on the day that matters most.

For couples who want everything.

I shoot documentary photography throughout your day. Elena works alongside me delivering editorial portraits and styled sequences. Our associate videographer collects footage across the full day, which I then edit into a finished cinematic film — cut by the photographer who was there living every moment of it.

Every P&H Visionaries booking includes a two-hour engagement shoot at your wedding venue — giving you and Elena time to connect, and giving us both the opportunity to learn your venue before the day itself. By the time your wedding arrives, we know exactly where the light falls, where the quiet corners are, and where the best of your day will happen.

Our work is commissioned on a limited basis each year. Every couple receives a bespoke proposal shaped around their wedding, priorities and creative vision.
