Junior Photography Workshops – A First Step Into Photography

Junior Photography Workshop Pricing – Short, Focused Skill Sessions

3-Hour Workshop – £150
A focused introduction covering either photography or post-production. This session is ideal for students who want to explore a specific part of the creative process and get a feel for learning photography in a guided environment.
Best suited as a taster, rather than a complete learning experience.

4-Hour Workshop – £185
The most complete workshop option, covering both photography and post-production in a single session.
Students learn to control their camera, shoot with intention, and edit their images to a finished standard. This session offers the strongest learning outcomes within a one-day format and is strongly recommended for first-time students.

Camera Hire – £25

What Workshops Are (and Aren’t)

Workshops are designed to introduce skills and build short-term confidence. They are effective for:

  • Trying photography for the first time

  • Exploring a specific skill

  • Gaining inspiration and direction

However, workshops are not progressive programmes. Skills are introduced, but there is limited time for repetition, reinforcement, and development.

For students who want real confidence, consistency, and measurable progress, a structured programme is the better option.

The Better Option for Real Progress

Parents often find that young people outgrow workshops quickly.

For deeper learning, confidence building, and real creative development, the PH-ART-ED Junior Photography Foundation Programme (1:1) provides:

  • Six structured sessions

  • Progressive skill development

  • Manual camera control from the start

  • Editing, selection, and presentation

  • A framed print and certificate of completion

If your child is serious about learning photography properly, the programme offers far greater value and long-term results.

Continue Learning Between Sessions

Students who attend workshops can continue practising at home using the PHARTED Kids Photography Curriculum, reinforcing key skills and building confidence independently.

Safeguarding & Additional Information

PHARTED is committed to providing a safe, supportive learning environment for all young people.
Full safeguarding policies, supervision arrangements, and safeguarding procedures can be found in the Additional Information section.

Book Your Workshop

Choose your workshop length, add any equipment hire if needed, and secure your child’s place.
For students ready to go further than a one-day experience, the Junior Photography Foundation Programme is strongly recommended.
