Photography budgets get buried under venue costs, catering, and everything else on the list, so by the time someone messages me, they've often already guessed a number in their head — sometimes too low, sometimes far higher than it needs to be.

So here's a straight answer, without the usual dance around it.
The honest range
Across Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire and the wider Midlands, most couples invest somewhere between £495 and £2,000 for their wedding photography, depending on how many hours they need covered and whether they want a printed album included. That's a wide range, so here's what actually sits inside it, using my own collections as a real example rather than vague industry averages.

Rather than a single custom quote, I work from four clear collections, so you can see exactly what you're getting before we even speak:

Why I don't do a single blended number instead
A lot of photographers quote as one number and leave you guessing what's actually inside it. I'd rather you could see the shape of each option clearly and pick the one that matches your day, rather than negotiating over a mystery figure.
On top of any collection, there's a short menu of optional extras if you want them — things like a Signature Album, a cinematic slideshow set to music, or In The Box Portraits, a portrait experience built into the reception that nobody else offers locally. None of these are pushed on you; they're simply there if they suit your day.

What about video?
Photography and film are priced separately, since they're genuinely different jobs. A short cinematic highlight film starts from £650, a more comprehensive film with dedicated ceremony and speech coverage starts from £1,950, and for couples who want their whole love story told — not just the wedding day — a feature-length documentary film starts from £3,500. Many couples book photography and film together rather than hiring two separate suppliers, which keeps the day simpler and less disruptive.

What I'd actually suggest
If you're not sure which collection fits, start with how much of the day actually matters to you. A shorter, earlier wedding often suits the Essential Story perfectly well. A full day with an evening reception usually calls for the Full Story. If a physical album matters to you as much as the photographs themselves, the Complete Story removes the need to add one later.
