On my recent visit to Paris, I wanted to capture the colourful essence of Paris. This doesn't mean my images are in colour. Some of them are but some of them aint!
It's all about the people.

So I created my very first time lapse movie. I made a series of around 600 images using my tripod and a timer release. Then I attached them together using some expensive software and added some music. The music believe it or not, was the hardest bit. I needed 30 seconds of dramatic music that I could find royalty free. Well, here it is, I hope you enjoy it. This is not where it ends. I'll be creating a much larger time lapse movie over the coming 12 months.
On Saturday, Lisa and I did the photography for a really nice couple called Kerry & David from Redditch. They put their trust in us to produce their wedding photography and we feel like we can truly pay them the same respect by sharing a beautiful moment.
This image is seconds after Kerry joined David at the altar. It was very emotional for them both. Kerry looked stunning in her beautiful dress and it really shows that David thought so too.
I love to capture the emotion of special moments like these, especially ones that are so life changing as tying the knot.

This is one image from 1500 I captured at a recent wedding but I don't think the bride will love it as much as I do. The bride has recently lost her Father who should have been giving her away. She arrived at the Church quite emotionally and as you can see in this strong image, she's reflecting very deeply. I love the sense of emotion in the image and it helps to tell a story of the day. There is a much deeper story to what unfolded throughout the day, which I won't go in to but I absolutely had to share this image. I'm really proud to have captured such emotion within a photograph.

We're off to Paris again for our second year running. I loved the last experience and created several series of images whilst I was there. I'm hoping to improve on these during this visit.
Paris Photo is on whilst we're there, so that's a must do on the huge list of great places for photography. Friends, Coffee, Red Wine, Croissants and probably a good few miles of walking!

So I shot my first full wedding on Friday and really surprised myself. I felt like I commanded the day really well and got some awesome shots too. I started the day inspecting and shooting the table decorations at the Halloween themed event at 11am and then rushed round to the Brides house. She didn't turn up until 12:30pm which left me with very little time to create some great images at that point. I managed to get some candid images of everyone getting ready before I had to shoot off to the pub to photograph the Groom and his party. Then I had to rush back to photograph the bride having her dress done up, the rush back to the Church. The Bride turned up 35 minutes late and much to the displeasure of the Vicar. Everything went quite well from there. The church shots I created look really good and then I managed to get some creative shots with the B&G at their wedding venue. Then I had the massive task of trying to organise 100 guests in to a group shot, I shouted at them a few times and it worked. Then I spent the rest of the evening collecting candid images of all the guests having loads of fun throughout the night until I left for bed at about midnight, shattered! Here's just a couple of my favourite images from the day.

We're almost finished and ready to begin creating some amazing memories and beautiful portraits in our new studio. It's been a long road with an incredible amount of work put in to it. We want our clients to really settle in and love the experience of our creative environment. Whilst we're just adding the delicate finishing touches to the aesthetics, we're also working on the branding, marketing and pricing structure. This will be different to many other studios locally because of the time and effort we put in to our craft. This is our art and we want you to be part of it. Don't do anything now, just have a look at the photograph of our studio and pencil in the idea of getting professional portraits of you and your family. We'll let you know when we're ready for our first shoot.

Well we're really excited now. Our studio is almost ready to open to the public. Lisa will be specialising in Maternity photo shoots, Newborn photography and Children's portraits. I will be looking after Family photo shoots and Adult portraiture. Between us we will be conducting Engagement photo shoots for our wedding photography clients as well.
Personally, I need to start working on my branding and price structure now and then I will be able to begin my marketing campaigns.
The nice thing is that Lisa is all ready to rock n roll! She has her branding and pricing structure in place already and can now start taking bookings for her side of the business. So if you want to get in touch with Lisa for her portraiture, then please click here.
